Aireen Omar

Aireen Omar is a seasoned CEO with over 20 years of experience in aviation, digital transformation, and venture building.

Aireen Omar is a Multi-Sector CEO specializing in building digital ecosystems and integrating capital, digital, and innovation strategies to build high-growth ventures across ASEAN. She has over 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship, aviation, and digital transformation.

Aireen spent 20 years with AirAsia and Capital A in various leadership roles. She began as Group Head of Corporate Finance, Treasury and Investor Relations, overseeing aircraft financing, purchases, cross-border joint ventures, fuel procurement, and insurance. From July 2012 to January 2018, she served as Executive Director and CEO of AirAsia Berhad.

As Deputy Group CEO for Digital & Technology at AirAsia Group, she drove the organization’s digital transformation. As President and CEO of AirAsia Digital, she incubated and scaled digital ventures including AirAsia MOVE, AirAsia Rewards, BigPay, Ikhlas, and edutech platform Outclass.

From March 2023 to March 2025, she was President of Investment & Ventures at Capital A Berhad, leading investment strategy, fundraising, and venture building. Most recently, she simultaneously served as Group CEO of BigPay and CEO of AirAsia Rewards from March to December 2025.

Aireen currently serves as Adjunct Professor at Universiti Malaysia Sabah’s Faculty of Psychology and Social Work and as a Board Member at Tune Protect Group. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics. She was named Digital Transformer of the Year for Malaysia by IDC in September 2019.
